Bienvenue chez les ch'tis

above it's when I saw the crew while the film's premiere

Have you heard about Bienvenue chez les ch'tis? the French film which sold 20.000.000 tickets! (Titanic sold 20.756.000 tickets in France!). It's a film about the region where I live. French had bad opinions about our region: it rains all the time, we speak in a weird manner (le ch'ti), it's always cold, we are poor, we don't live a long time,... anyways it's not a glamour view of my region!

But an actor/humouriste/director from the Nord (North) wanted to break all these prejudices. And he did! he showed that people from the North are really kind and that their language is actually funny and everything.

Result: we would like to sink another time the Titanic! And we would like to have a french film at the first place of the French box-office!

Will Smith bought the film for a remake, it will be "Welcome to the Sticks!" I wish you'll have fun of it!

hi Alex,
Sounds like that film could only do positive things for where you live.
Sorry, I probably know less about as much about your region as you do mine.
Hope all is well.
